RE: NORTH BRISBANE DISTRICT PRIMARY SCHOOLS BAND CAMP
Your child has the opportunity to attend the senior, primary schools’ instrumental music camp which will be held from 12–15 June at Craigslea State High School and Craigslea State School. The camp will be non-residential, starting at 8.30am and concluding at 3.30pm each day, and will offer limited places for high level woodwind, brass, strings and percussion instruments. Positions will be decided on level of ability and Instrumentation required.
Camp activities will include performing in concert bands, combined choirs, string orchestra, specialist tuition in instrument groups as well as the opportunity to perform new and challenging music with other performers of a similar level. Guest tutors have been scheduled to work with students throughout the week. The camp will conclude with a concert for parents the final day of the camp.
You are asked to consider the following points carefully:
1. The camp will cost $70 – payment required after successfully auditioning. More detailed information including a detailed permission/medical form will be requested upon notification of selection.
2. Children attending the camp must perform in the concert.
3. Students will be auditioned by video. Instrumental teachers will be taping student auditions during normal lesson times during the week beginning 30 April. These will then be assessed by Instrumental Music teachers. Details of the audition criteria are below.

1 May Honours camp video auditions
4 May Nominations and video tapes sent
11 May Audition results available
25 May Final perm/medical forms returned
12 - 15 June Honours camp
