Thursday 22 March, 2007
Term two is only a few weeks away, and the upcoming unit focus is Aviation.
As an introduction to this unit, we have organised to take the students to Aviation High to allow them to look at the properties of an aircraft, as well as creating their own model aircraft. This will get them thinking about flight, and will hopefully give them some hands on experience investigating how a machine is designed enabling it to fly.
The date for this excursion is Thursday the 22nd March. It is a full day excursion, commencing at 9am at Aviation High, and concluding at and 2:15 pm for students to return to Northgate. Students are required to bring a packed lunch, a water bottle, and their hat.
There is no cost involved; however, we would ask that any parents that are available to assist with the transport on the day indicate their availability on the tear off section below. We will be leaving the Northgate at 8:50 am, and will require transport from the venue at 2:15pm. Students are asked to be at school by 8:45am to ensure that we have a prompt departure time.
Parents / caregivers are more than welcome to come and watch the students attempting to fly their individual aircraft. We will be launching them from 1:00pm in the main hall.
