Principal's Forward (from the annual report)
It is with great pride that I present the 2007 Annual Report for Northgate State School.
2007 was an action packed adventure from day one with each term promising exciting adventures in learning for all year levels. The school participated in a triennial school review strategically planning and setting goals for the next three years.
Northgate provides a unique experience for inner city Brisbane students nicely hidden in Amelia Street Nundah situated amongst the trees protected from the hustle and bustle of city life and the dangers of busy roads. A community school where everyone knows everyone, kids can be kids and where learning focuses on having a strong emphasis on the basics whilst also preparing children for their future utilising engaging technology in innovative ways.
This report provides a brief snapshot of the activities and performance of Northgate State School during 2007. To truly experience the atmosphere of a great learning environment in a student centred world you’ll just have to come and visit. We welcome prospective parents, students, friends and community members to see the wonders of state schooling in action.
I still boast loudly and proudly that Northgate State School is the best school in Brisbane for three sole reasons:
